In my work with technology integration at the Upper Valley Educators Institute, I am increasingly finding I am using various web applications and trying to get them to talk to each other. Many of these do have various webhooks that can connect. For example, filling out a Wufoo form can create a Highrise contact. After working to connect the various web apps we have started using though, I am becoming increasingly enamored of Zapier.

Are Paper Books Becoming Dinosaurs?

We recently had our family vacation with our three boys and it was somewhat new territory for us. It was the first vacation we have been on where the majority of our boys are reading. In the last few months, our 8 year old has really hit that place where his reading has grown in leaps and bounds.
Apart from the significant amount of peace and quiet we gained, I noticed we were lugging around a lot of books and it really got me thinking about Kindles.
Website RFP for ECFiber, a Rural ISP

Recently I have been involved in a unique organization helping them to develop an RFP for their website. It’s a rural broadband ISP that is a non-profit, and trying to bring fiber optic connectivity to under-served areas of Vermont, and when I say that, I mean the places that don’t even have cell service, like my home town. It’s unique, because it’s actually owned by the towns it serves!
