If you are curious about the new version of Joomla (1.5), then you should nip over to itidiots.com and check out the training video they have just published. It walks you through some basic steps in getting a site up and running. 

ITidiots are a couple of fellow brits that have a regular video screencast about all things tech. You should check out their site (as well as the video). It runs on Joomla and sports a Joomlashack template.
