Welcome to the Compass Designs website, powered by Joomla 1.5! The goal of this new site is to be the place to bookmark if you are looking for quality Joomla templates, tutorials, news and tips.If you are a frequent visitor to developer.joomla.org, you'll know their blog has been offline for a while. I understand there was a security issue with the "Wordpress in Joomla" extension that was being used.
The blog is now back up and new and improved.
It seems to now just be simple Joomla content articles with a comment extension. I have been a frequent advocate for this when using Joomla to create blogs.
What's more exciting, viewing the source it looks like the developer section is the first of the Joomla sites to make the move to Joomla 1.5.

I'll be able to add the link to the blog to my daily stops of RSS. I'm looking forward to the rest of the joomla.org family taking the step to migrate to 1.5.

Interestingly enough, the dev site seems to have the same duplicate category name in the SEF URL bug I found a while back in February. gsoc2008/research-management/4-research-management/63-my-first-gsoc-activities.html It seems that the answer was: Also, you are using a number of proprietary extensions - and none of Joomla!'s menu items which are what creates the URL. In such a case, it is best to check with those developers to see if they are working with the router correctly. We cannot help with proprietary extensions. We do not have copies of the programs to test with and most of the time you would also be restricted from even sharing a copy with us. In those cases, you must work with that developer. maybe this issue will get some fresh eyes now. |
