Can Joomla! extensions be released under non-GPL compatible licenses?

A few Joomla bloggers have quickly noted a fascinating thread currently underway on the forums at joomla.org.

Essentially, the license [of the development build] has been changed for Joomla 1.5. There is significant potential for the change to greatly change professional development of 3rd party extensions. Will this mean that the healthy commercial community around Joomla will begin to look elsewhere?

How not to get a T1 from Verizon

If you need top-rate intenet connectivity, probably the most robust solution you can get is a T1. There is only one small catch though, if you go through a company like Verison, you can get hit with a bill of up to $122,674!
