When we talk to clients about their projects, we often seem to spend lots of time going into fine details of how their logo will appear on the website. I think that many of them directly associate their logo as their brand. You see this in lengthy branding manuals and resources spent trying to protect the logo/name legally.

In today's web base world, I think this philosophy is misguided, your logo and name are not your brand...

Dutch Joomla Day is Holland's bi-annual event about all things Joomla. This year it is a two day event seperated into a business and community day. I think that this event now holds the record for having the most Joomla Core Team members at one location at once, six I think. I'll have to see if I can get a photo of them all.

This great new tutorial is a chapter excerpt from the upcoming book, Joomla 1.5: A User's Guide.

This tutorial takes you step by step through creating two templates. The first is a basic one to learn some core Joomla template features and the second creates a more advanced template based from a professional design from Joomlashack. The chapter also details advanced Joomla 1.5 template features such as parameters and overrides and contains a sample set of override files to create a tableless template.
