If you are in the Vancover area, there is Joomla on the radar! On Tuesday eve. Feb 26th there will be some Vancoovian (I think I just made that word up) JoomlaHeads gathering together to discuss and learn about Joomla 1.5.

After posting the news about the stable version of Joomla 1.5, I have had some emails that people can't get it as the main joomla.org site is pretty busy right now!

Hot on the heels RC4, and a series of bug fixing events, the stable release of Joomla 1.5 is now available for download.

You can also find information about how to upgrade to the stable version from a RC version at docs.joomla.org/Upgrading_to_1.5_Stable.

If you are using a template that was designed for 1.0 in 1.5 in legacy mode, you might have found a small problem with table headers disappearing. The issue is caused by slight different XHTML output in 1.5.

Last year (actually in 2005), I was at Linux World in San Francisco with the Joomla crew helping on the booth. An editor was introduced to me from Prentice Hall and asked if I was interested in writing a book about Joomla.

"Sure" I thought... how hard can it be?

RC 4 is here!

A major milestone in Joomla 1.5 development the latest release candidate has been released, RC4.

Last month we asked our Joomlashack community to nominate their favorite charity for a $1,000 USD cash prize. More than 90 excellent nominations poured in from around the globe, including NGOs solving problems on all seven continents and across an incredible range of issues. Each Joomlashacker carefully read every entry and then narrowed our list down to the five nominees below.
