How even big name websites can get it wrong

I read the PC mag (offline) magazine and saw that the site had a redesign. In my professional curiosity I checked it out.
I was absolutely astonished to see how poorly it has been coded. A quick check revealed 634 errors.

To even claim that PC Magazine is any kind of industry leader and have this level of bad code is, to choose my word carefully, pathetic.

That is the most errors I have ever seen on a site, the worst I had previously come across coded by a high school student was a couple of hundered. I am astonished at this. This kind of thing really goes to show how even big companies are missing the boat when it comes to modern web design. Almost seems like a remake of the Disney Disaster.
