Last Friday, close to 300 Joomla users and developers gathered in Chicago for the first ever JoomlaEXPO, followed on saturday by the hands on classes of Joomla University.

The events were a great success with people coming from all over the US, Europe and even as far away as Malaysia and Costa Rica. The atmosphere was enthusiastic, the questions insightful, and the beer was flowing :).

The speakers were great, Tom Canavan, Azrul, Joe LeBlanc, Steve Burge, Victor Drover and Steve Pignataro. It was great to meet the many people who came up to me and our Joomlashack booth to say hi. I'd like to extend my personal appreciation of the many people who sought me out to chat about my Joomla book.
